New Delhi. : ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar-1 recently celebrated French Language Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The aim behind conducting the programme was to widen the horizon about the rich heritage and culture of another country.
The Chief Guest of the day was Dr. Preeti Bhutani, Director, Praytna Education Society. The program took an auspicious start with lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Vandana followed by a melodious welcome rendition ,'Bonjour "presented by the School Band. They then presented a French song ,"Champs - Lyce'es & which was well appreciated by all . The students then presented an engrossing skit on exchange of cultures in the form of a ballad where the fusion of Bharatanatyam and Alouette was showcased. Children also tapped and danced on a mesmerised French tune,' Elle me dit'.
Keeping up with the spirit of the day the children put up an exhibition and shared some very interesting projects on 'Waste Hierarcy and Eco- friendly Cities'. Students also showed their culinary skills by presenting some wonderful and delicious delicacies of France like mousson, au chocolat, ratatouille and more.
Dr. Preeti Bhutani appreciated the efforts put in by the students.
She enlightened the students to be adaptive and receptive towards the beautiful language of French as it holds great future prospects of learning.
School Principal, Ms. Swarnima Luthra congratulated the students for a wonderful presentation and encouraged them to appreciate and learn about the different cultures prevalent in the world as learning is the only doorway to wisdom.
