Patna ; The Bihar State Health Society (SHS) has opened applications for 4,500 Community Health Officer (CHO) posts under the National Health Mission (NHM). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from May 5 to May 26, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: BSc Nursing with a Certificate in Community Health.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 42 to 45 years (based on category)
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories.
Salary
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of up to ₹40,000.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted through:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Technical Subjects.
- Document Verification

- ₹250 for SC/ST, female candidates, and PwBD
