Lucknow: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the position of Research Associate/Senior Research Associate for a research project under Prof. Priyatam Anurag at its Noida campus. The institute is seeking eligible candidates with strong academic and research backgrounds to contribute to ongoing research activities.
According to the notification, candidates applying for the position must possess a Ph.D. in Management, Economics, Sociology, or a related field demonstrating strong research competence and subject expertise. Alternatively, candidates with a First Class postgraduate degree in Management or relevant disciplines from reputed institutions may also apply, provided they have the ability to conduct independent research and contribute to scholarly work. The institute has emphasized that applicants should ideally have at least one research publication in a peer-reviewed journal, reflecting their capability in academic research.
The advertisement further highlights that candidates with a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience will be preferred, particularly those with demonstrated expertise in quantitative or qualitative research methodologies. Additional desirable skills include knowledge of econometrics, qualitative coding techniques, computer proficiency with relevant software, and strong communication abilities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in research-related activities such as primary and secondary data collection and analysis, literature review, report writing, empirical research work, and preparation of research outputs. The position offers a consolidated monthly salary ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 along with applicable HRA, depending on qualifications and experience.
The selection process will involve scrutiny of applications followed by shortlisting of candidates for a personal interview and document verification. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and performance during the interaction. The institute has clarified that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis for an initial period of eleven months, which may be extended depending on performance and project requirements. The last date for submission of applications is May 3, 2026, up to 5:30 PM, and applications received after the deadline or incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
