Mahenderagarh : Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh and Haryana Space Application Centre, Hisar will work together in the field of teaching, research and training program in the field of geospatial technology. Both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual partnership in this regard. The MoU was signed by the Registrar, Prof.Sarika Sharma on behalf of Central University of Haryana while Dr. V.S. Arya Director, signed on behalf of Haryana Space Application Centre (HARSAC), Hisar.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor, CUH said that the objective of this MoU is to provide cooperation in teaching, research and training and training program in the field of geospatial technology. He said that both the organization would come together and work on one front for cooperation on the research and academic front. Under this effort, the way will be paved for the better curriculum design as per latest trends in the field of Geo- informatics, field training, Internships and placements of students, skill development programs, expert lectures and faculty development programs. Dr. V.S. Arya, Director, HARSAC told us that this MoU will create a lot of awareness among students of various departments towards the application and efficiency of Remote Sensing and GIS technology.
Dr. Jitendra Kumar Deputy Director Training and Placement Cell and Assistant Professor, Department of Geography said that geospatial technology plays a vital role in our daily activities and is embedded in most of the systems and applications we use today. This technology is used in every activity from urban planning, weather forecasting, traffic navigation, route mapping to online delivery apps. Now both the organization will jointly organize seminar, conference, workshop, short-term training programs, extension lectures. Prof. Sarika Sharma, Registrar, CUH, Prof. Vinod Kumar, Dean, School of Basic Sciences and Head Department of Geography, Prof. Vikas Garg, Director Training and Placement Cell, Dr. Anup Kumar and Dr. Ritesh, Scientist HARSAC, Dr. Manish Kumar and Dr. Kheraj Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, CUH were also present on the occasion of this partnership, which took place in the program organized in conference room at CUH.
