New Delhi. : Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign launching VANDE BHARATAM on75 years of independence. Now, you can enjoy and participate virtually. The Ministry of culture and the ministry of defence is organizing a dance competition event on the VANDE BHARATAM(application). Union culture minister on Friday has announced about the application and dance competition.
On this application, entries will be selected for the republic day parade 2022. Now dancers from all over India can participate and win their way to perform at the parade. Minister of state and Minister culture Meenakshi lekhi said, ‘the program will be conducted on 4 levels.
VANDE BHARATAM would be launched with an application and with a website on 17 November 2021. In which interesting participants must send their video clips. The maximum duration for each video will be 3 minutes. Group of 10-30 dancers aged 16-22 years will submit their entries pan-India (virtually). From which 3 groups shall be selected from each district who shall be called for the on-ground level audition. Those who will be selected on the district level move forward to the state level will be on 29 November 2021. These entries will be streamed live on the website as well as on the application during the state-level virtual events. 36 virtual entries will be performing for the state level covering all 28 states and UT. From each state/UTs 5 groups will be selected who directly will be called for Zonal level events from their respective states. The last date for submitting your video is 4 December 2021. At the Zonal level, 4 physical events shall be held for the North, South, East, West zone. For GRAND FINALE,15 groups will be selected from each state/UT from respective zones.
GRAND FINALE will be held on 19 December 2021 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. There will be a celebrity artist who performs at the show and a guest observer only. 16-25 groups cumulatively a total of 480 Dancers will be selected as WINNER.
480 Dancers who will be participating in Republic Day Parade there are four genres: Folk, Classical, tribal, and contemporary/Fusion. Joint Secretary Amita Prasad Sarbhai said the number of entries can be increased on depending the entries. An aadhaar card is mandatory for participation.
Apart from this, Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, the ministry said they will launch a ‘postcard to the PM’ in where children can send two postcards to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about freedom struggles and how those children want India to look like in 2047 “ 100 years of independence”.
