Yogi Adityanath government focus on education training of differently abled students, resource rooms will open in 65 districts

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath government is focusing on providing every facility to the differently-abled children along with their education. In such a situation, now with the help of the Central Government, Equipment for Resource Rooms are being opened in 65 districts for the differently-abled children in the state.

Equipment for resource rooms will be opened for teaching and training in the development blocks. After the approval of the plan from the central government, 65 districts have been allotted a total of Rs 192 lakh including Rs 2 lakh per resource room. The Basic Education Officers have been instructed to make the resource room operational by October 31 at any cost. Under Integrated Education, the government is providing all kinds of facilities to the disabled students.

State Project Director Vijay Kiran Anand has directed that the resource room should be developed as a model for teaching and training of handicapped children. The responsibility of its operation will be of the headmaster, nodal teacher. Along with this, Special Educators and Physiotherapists will cooperate. District coordinators are instructed to impose duty for the resource room. Physiotherapy services, occupational therapy, functional assessment of handicapped children and counselling to parents will be provided in the resource room.

In the resource room, children will be provided with Braille reading, writing, sign language, language development, skill development etc. It is directed that the procurement of equipment and other materials for the resource room will be done. For this a five-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer.
