Haryana :- A workshop on “Professionalism & ethics, Corporate Culture & Interview Skills” was organized on Friday by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and School of Interdisciplinary and applied sciences at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. Prof. TankeshwarKumarmVice-Chancellor of the University inaugurated the session and emphasized on the importance of professionalism and ethics among the students and faculty at their workplace. He appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to conduct such a program specifically for students and faculty members working in academia or corporate.
Prof. NeelamSangwan, Chairperson, Dean SIAS, and Dean Research delivered the welcome address and briefed about the program. She also informed that such a workshop would also be conducted in the future to groom them for a professional work culture. International expert Dr. Rohit Kumar Verma from International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia gave insight on this topic. Dr. Rohit Kumar Verma said that professionalism is a set of standards that an individual is expected to adhere to in a workplace. We as a teacher equip the students with knowledge and skill. However, professional readiness is required to prepare the students for the work culture. He also highlighted the significance of professionalism & ethics in the healthcare system.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Head, and Convener of the event informed us that Professionalism & ethicsplay a key role in preparing students for the work culture by providing practical and relevant professional development experience aligned with their chosen career field. Dr. Manisha Pandey, organizing secretary of the event said that this workshop is arranged only for 25 students. However, other students from different departments of CUH and outside CUH joined the session to gain knowledge about Professionalism & ethics.Additionally, Dr. Ashok Jangra and Dr. Tarun Kumar were supported as organizing secretary.
