Workshop on “Molecular Biology Tools and Techniques” concluded in CUH

Dr. Mulaka Maruthi, event organizer of the workshop has summarized the techniques taught to the participants and acknowledged the DST-SERB Accelerate Vigyan for funding.

Haryana = One week DST-SERB Accelerate Vigyan (Karyashala) sponsored high end workshop on
“Molecular Biology Tools and Techniques” was concluded at Central University of Haryana. 25
participants from different institutes across the country have participated and are trained at
Department of Biochemistry, on molecular cloning techniques including Real-Time PCR. Vice
Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the participants will definitely
benefit from the experiences given by the experts in the workshop.
Prof. Neelam S. Sangwan, Dean research, Dean School of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences
has attended as the chief guest and motivated the young aspirants by quoting the inspiring works
of Noble laurates in the field of Molecular Biology. Later, Prof. Neelam Sangwan in her speech
congratulated the organizing team for conducting second consecutive workshop by the
department. Prof. Pawan Maurya, Head of Biochemistry Department has expressed his belief
that the workshop would greatly benefit the students for building their career, and appreciated
the participants and faculty.
Dr. Mulaka Maruthi, event organizer of the workshop has summarized the techniques taught to
the participants and acknowledged the DST-SERB Accelerate Vigyan for funding. The
participants expressed their gratitude and shared their experiences during the 7-day training.
Participants belonging to different institutes from the states of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan,
Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh has participated in this
workshop. Dr. Antresh Kumar, Dr. Usha Nagarajan, Dr. Saurabh C Saxena, and Dr. Neelam
were in the organizing team. The session was attended by speakers Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh, Dr.
Vidyullatha Peddireddy, Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Dr. Rohit Kr Verma and Dr. Manisha Pandey.
