IIT Madras 'SWAYAM' Plus Launches 'AI for ALL' Courses in Hindi

IIT Madras-led digital learning platform SWAYAM Plus has launched its flagship 'AI for All' initiative in Hindi, offering six free online courses to make a artificial intelligence education more accessible to learners across india.

Chennai - The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras)-led digital learning platform SWAYAM Plus has launched its flagship “AI for All” initiative in Hindi, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and accessible artificial intelligence education.

The six free online courses will enable learners from across the country to acquire essential AI skills in their preferred languages. The courses do not require any prior knowledge of AI or coding, making them suitable for first-time learners, students, educators and faculty members. Basic digital literacy and an  internet in learning our sufficient to enrol. 

The courses curated by experts from the IIT Madras ecosystem emphasize hands-on activities, real data sets and case study based learning with a strong focus on employability. 

 Welcoming learners from across India, Prof. R. Sarathi, Dean (Planning), IIT Madras, said that the launch of Hindi versions will help remove language barriers and broaden participation in AI education across regions and academic backgrounds. Each course spans 25 to 45 hours and is free to access. Learners may opt for a paid certification by appearing for an online proctored examination, which can be taken from anywhere. 

The AI for All courses available in Hindi include AI for Educators, AI in Physics, AI in Chemistry, AI in Accounting, Cricket Analytics with AI, and AI/ML using Python. SWAYAM Plus, an initiative of IIT Madras under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, currently offers over 500 courses across more than 15 sectors and has reached over 4.75 lakh registered learners.

The organisation stated that the initiative aims to strengthen digital skills and promote large scale adaption of AI education in regional language to support workforce readiness and academic growth.
