Rajasthan to Implement Common School Uniforms, Teacher Dress Code, and Real Time Attendance Alerts

Rajasthan announces a uniform dress code for students and teachers, along with real-time student attendance alerts via the Shala Darpan portal. Academic sessions to begin April 1 for timely book distribution.

Jaipur : In a major step toward promoting equality, transparency, and accountability in the education system, the Rajasthan government is set to introduce a common uniform policy for all government and private schools across the state. Alongside this, a dress code for teachers and a real-time student attendance alert system for parents are also being rolled out.

Announcing these reforms at a press conference held at Kota University, Education Minister Madan Dilawar said the new initiatives aim to bring discipline and uniformity to schools while ensuring better communication between institutions and parents.

Uniform Policy for Students and Teachers

Under the new policy, every student studying in Rajasthan’s government and private schools will follow a common uniform dress code, which notably excludes neckties. The initiative seeks to promote equality among students regardless of economic background.

In addition, teachers will also be required to wear uniforms and carry mandatory identity cards, enhancing professionalism and ensuring a sense of responsibility in the classroom environment.

Academic Session to Begin from April 1

Minister Dilawar also announced that from the upcoming academic year, the school session will commence on April 1. This change will allow students to receive textbooks on time and make better use of the summer break for preparation. He emphasized that the move will make the academic process more systematic and efficient.

Attendance Linked with National Anthem and Song

To reinforce punctuality and patriotism, the minister revealed that attendance of employees in the School Education, Sanskrit Education, and Panchayati Raj departments will now be linked to the National Anthem and National Song.
“Employees will be marked present only if they are present during the National Anthem and National Song,” Dilawar clarified.

Real-Time Attendance Notifications for Parents

In another digital reform, parents will soon receive instant notifications about their child’s presence or absence through the Shala Darpan portal.
“If a student doesn’t attend school, a real-time alert will be sent to the parent’s registered mobile number,” said Dilawar, adding that this system will enhance student safety and parental awareness.

Statewide Implementation Ready

The minister confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed for the statewide rollout of these new systems. Heading three major departments — Panchayati Raj, Education, and Sanskrit Education — Dilawar stated that these initiatives reflect the government’s broader vision to bring discipline, transparency, and equality to Rajasthan’s education sector. :
