PMIST to Celebrate World Radio Day 2026 with Slogan & RJ Hunt Contest

Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology (PMIST), in association with Periyar Community Radio, will celebrate World Radio Day 2026 on 13 February 2026 with engaging contests focused on Radio and Artificial Intelligence, encouraging creative expression and societal awareness.

Thanjavur - As part of World Radio Day 2026 celebrations, PMIST and Periyar Community Radio are organizing a Slogan & RJ Hunt Contest aimed at amplifying youth voices and promoting the evolving role of radio in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The event will be held on 13 February 2026, aligning with the global observance of World Radio Day.

Songs Contest, each designed around socially relevant themes. The RJ Contest focuses on Youth Voices Shaping Society, while the Slogan Contest highlights Periyar Community Radio Promotions, and the Songs Contest centers on broader Societal themes. Participants are encouraged to submit original audio entries, showcasing creativity, clarity of message, and social impact.

Entries must be submitted in MP3 format, with a maximum duration of 3 to 5 minutes. The preferred language is Tamil, and participants can choose categories such as Songs, Narration, or Slogan. The last date for submission is 10 February 2026, and winners will receive attractive prizes, to be distributed on 13 February 2026.
