Orientation Programe Conducted at ASN School

The aim of the programme was to apprise new parents of the day to day functioning of the school and its policies.

 

New Delhi. : ASN Sr. Sec School, Mayur Vihar-I recently conducted Orientation Programe  ] for the new session (2022-2023) at various class levels in person and welcomed the parents and the children physically after the pandemic .  

The aim of the programme was to apprise new parents of the day to day functioning of the school and its policies. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp ceremony. 

The School Principal, Ms. Swarnima Luthra extended a very warm welcome to the parents and read out the School Report highlighting the achievements and accolades   at National and International level. She thanked the parents for their constant support towards all the endeavors planned for the betterment and the overall development of the students. She emphasized on the three dimensional teaching process where Parents, Teachers and the Taught are an integral part for achieving the very best for the students.

Students from the student council presented the glimpses of various activities undertaken in the school.

The speaker of the day, Ms Aarushi Ahuja, School Counselor  gave them tips on good parenting and talked about the various stages of child’s development through her insightful presentation on 'Traversing the Transformation. She also briefed them about the role of a balanced diet in their growth during these tender years. Ms. Aarushi's interactive session helped parents in resolving their queries.

Coordinators of various classes threw light on the activities carried out in the wing for the overall development of the students. The parents of primary wing were apprised about the subject wise teaching in the respective classes. The parents of classes VI-X were updated about the CBSE Assessment Pattern  being followed in school. The parents were made aware of the detailed information about the Examination Pattern /Test Formats, Syllabus, Marking-Scheme, Subject Enrichment Activities which were tabulated and explained to the parents in detail. The parents were also made aware of the upgradations done in  'SNAP HOMEWORK'-an innovative app that has enabled the teachers to update the parents about the day-to-day work done thereby making  Parent Teacher Interaction easier on regular basis.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ms Sushma Kalia,Middle Wing Coordinator.
