Mahendergarh : To improve the skill of the students in the field of machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and python Programming, Department of computer science and information technology is organizing a one-weekworkshop on the title “Machine Learning using Python” with the collaboration of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Ropar.The workshop was inauguratedthrough online mode by the Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana (CUH) Mahendergarh. Dr. Keshav Singh Rawat,HoD, and Convener of this workshopbrief the workshop objectives, importance of this workshop, and schedule. He also introduced the day wise contents of workshop, which including NumPy, Pandas, Visualization, Machine Learning Concepts-Supervised and Unsupervised, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, Implementing Machine Learning Models and performing Predictions, Artificial Neural Networks, Deep Learning, OpenCV, and Projects Demonstration.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar blessed the participant by his kind words that included the importance of machine learning and python in the real life. Hesaid, nowadays machine learning is playing very important role in predictions in various applications of data analytics and real life.This workshop will definitely increase the expertize of the students that will help to give opportunity to explore jobs and startup in the field of data science, he said.He also included that AI technologies like ChatGPT makes the write programming code, letters and explaining difficult concept very easily. Then, workshop Chief guest Hon’ble Sh.Subanshu Tiwari, Executive Directorof National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh said that this collaboration between the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and Central University of Haryana will definitely provide higher-level skills learning to the students. He offered to more collaboration with NIELIT in the rest center of India of various programming and AI technologies topics. He added that python is an effective programming language and really helpful in employability of student.
Later, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Director Innovation and Incubation Centre, spoke about the advancement in the information technology sector and how emerging techniques can be helpful in the innovation implementation.She also included the importance of Python Programming for the student to achieve good job in IT industries or start an innovative project. In this Occasion, Dr. Manish Arora, Additional Director, NIELIT Chandigarh, Resources persons Ms. Anita Budhiraja Scientist D, Dr. Sarwan Singh Scientist C, NIELIT, Ropar, Dr. Keshav Singh Rawat, Head of Department, Computer Science and Information Technology, Coordinator- Dr. Suraj Arya, Co-coordinators- Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Priti Maratha, Dr. Anoop Tiwari, and students of Computer Science and Information Technology were present in this programme.
