The inaugural session of One Week Online National Workshop on Mathematical Modelling with
Simulation in Applied Sciences was held online mode in the Department of Mathematics Central
University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh on Monday. In the inaugural session Dr. Jitendra Kumar
Associate Professor and Convener of the workshop presented a brief about the workshop. Dr. Shah Jahan
Assistant Professor Organizing Secretary of the workshop introduced Chief guest of the event Vice
Chancellor Professor Tankeshwar Kumar.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar addressed the participants and stress about the importance of Mathematical
Modelling and Simulation in day-to-day life. Mathematical modelling and simulation plays an important
role in every aspect of life as an example you can’t test the bridge durability after its construction but you
can do this in advance with the help of modelling and simulation. In last, Vice Chancellor wish all the
participant that they will learn new concepts and techniques after completing this workshop.
Professor Rajesh Kumar Gupta, HOD and Professor A.K. Yadav shared their views on the theme of the
workshop. Dr. Pwan Kumar Assistant professor and organizing secretary gave the vote of thanks.
Research Scholars Ms. Parul Punia was the moderator and all other research scholars participated in the
workshop. Dr. Arun kajla, Dr. Jagjeet, Dr. Ravinder Singh were also present in the event. First technical
session was taken by Prof. Sharada Nandan Raw, NIT Raipur on the topic (Basic Concept of
Mathematical Modelling and its Glimpse in Science and Engineering. The 2 nd technical session was taken
by Prof. Sushil Kumar, SVNIT Surat on the topic numerical solution of variable-order space-time
fractional diffusion equation using space-time pseudo spectral method.
