New Delhi: Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training, Pune (MANET) has released the application forms for its 2023-24 session.  Candidates can apply through their official website https://manetpune.edu.in/.

MANET CET is the entrance exam conducted by the university for admission in its programs. Through the exam, the university offers admission in the First Year to B.Tech Marine Engineering (4 Yrs)  or B.Sc Nautical Science (3 Yrs).

Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training, more popularly known as MANET Pune was founded in 2001. It provides training to students to join the merchant navy. The institute is approved by MANET is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. According to their official website, The institute has been awarded an “A1” (Outstanding) rating by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) during the Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) initiated by DG Shipping, Govt. of India. MANET Pune has also been approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Government of Japan.

The Last date for filling MANET Application Form is 21st May 2023 and the MANET CET Entrance Exam will be held on 25th May 2023. Although no official date for admission rounds has been announced, it is expected to commence in June/July 2023.

In the selection process, candidates are tested on the parameters like Communication skills, Temperamental suitability for a sea career, Leadership qualities, Physical fitness, and Aptitude for scientific concepts. Their 10+2 PCM marks, Performance in an interview, and Satisfactory medical tests are also considered.
