Rohtak: On last Friday, the Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak has organized a cultural program in Tagore auditorium of the campus. On conclusion of the three days sports event “Sport Tech” which was organized by the University Institute of Engineering Technology (U.I.E.T), a prize distribution ceremony was also held at the venue.

Moreover, the program was lead by Prof. (Dr.) Rajbir Singh - the Vice Chancellor of the Maharishi Dayanand University himself.  He also addressed the students, meanwhile talking about the importance of life skills and soft skills in one’s life.

Furthermore, the group commander of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Brig. Harbir Singh, YSM, SM and a fitness influencer were welcomed as a Chief Guests on this day. A cohort of the students on this occasion also arranged programs on various genres, such as several kinds of Dance performances, Folk songs, Drama and Skits were performed to entertain students and guests in the event.

However, besides these performances students were also informed of their voting rights. As many of the students were going to cast their vote first time, amid the voter awareness week a program on voting rights was presented by Miss. Ankita Pandey. She was presenting the awareness program, under the leadership of Mr. Parveen Kumar who is the Volunteer of Nehru Yuva Kendra and founder of Yuva Foundation.

Followed up, the prize distribution ceremony was started at the end of program. The students were ignited with enthusiasm and winners were facilitated with awards by Prof. Rajbir Singh. As per the input coming from the management of MDU, students including teachers who participated in the sport event and even 

organizers were awarded by the Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University on this occasion.

Some of these awardees of the Sport Tech (Sport Event) were Uttam Singh, Mansi, Arun and Dr. Kamaldeep – who with their sport spirit and dedication earned awards in different categories.

The Vice Chancellor of the Maharishi Dayanand University Prof. Rajbir Singh at the end of program congratulated the winners. Besides this, the happiness can’t be hidden from the student’s faces.

On the occasion, Tushar Rastogi who is a second year B.Tech CSE student said that “We are overwhelmed that U.I.E.T and the management of MDU has organized the Sport Tech sports event. This event not only encouraged the sportsmanship in students but also make them to realize the potential in themselves.”

Lastly, the program organized by the University has ended up on a good note and students also got the opportunity to grab insightful knowledge.
