New Delhi: Department of English, Jamia Milia Islamia(JMI) University is organizing a lecture on “Theatre, War and the Limits of Scenario-thinking” on 27 April 2023. The lecture will be delivered by Soumyabrata Choudhary, Associate Professor, JNU.

Dr. Soumyabrata Choudhury is an Associate Professor at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has authored Theatre, Number, Event: Three Studies on the Relationship between Sovereignty, Power and Truth, Ambedkar and Other Immortals: An Untouchable Research Programme and articles on ancient Greek liturgy, the staging of Ibsen, psychoanalysis, Phule, Nietzsche, Ambedkar, and Hegel. 

The lecture will take place from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm online. It will also be streamed live on the youtube channel of the department
