JMI organises Poster Making Competition to celebrate World Environment Day

e-Waste is posing a grave threat to environment and raising grave issues related to environmental sustainability. Nations today find it a challenge to dispose-off e-Waste. With the ever growing usage of electronic equipments, it has become the fastest-growing solid-waste stream in the world. Recycling electronics waste, or “e-waste,” can help conserve our natural resources and avoid creating more greenhouse gas emissions. The current generation has to actively start thinking about the e- Waste management for environmental sustainability.

The Department of Adult and Continuing Education & Extension (DACEE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) celebrated the World Environment Day by organizing a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Managing e- Waste for Environmental Sustainability”.  The competition was open to all the students of M.A./M.Sc.
