JKBOSE Revises Class 10 Exam Datesheet 2025 for Winter-Zone Areas Amid Bye-Elections
Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released a revised Class 10 datesheet for the Annual/Regular October–November 2025 session in winter-zone areas. The update comes in light of the upcoming Assembly bye-elections, ensuring that examinations proceed smoothly without logistical conflicts.
According to the official notification issued by JKBOSE, certain subject exams have been rescheduled to accommodate the election dates in districts such as Budgam and Nagrota.
Key Changes in the JKBOSE Revised Class 10 Datesheet 2025
- Science paper has been rescheduled to November 11.
- Social Science exam will now be held on November 26.
- No exams will be conducted on November 7 and 14 due to election activities.
- Exams for English remain on November 20, Urdu/Hindi on November 17, and Computer Science on November 19.
- The first paper will begin on November 6, featuring various vocational subjects.
The board emphasized that all other subject dates remain unchanged and assured that the adjustments were made to maintain fairness and convenience for students and schools during the election period.
JKBOSE stated,
“It is hereby notified for information of all stakeholders, especially Class 10 students, that the revised datesheet for the Annual/Regular 2025 (Oct–Nov session) has been issued in view of Assembly bye-elections.”

JKBOSE Directs Private Schools to Implement Prescribed Textbooks
In a separate directive, JKBOSE has instructed all privately affiliated schools to strictly adopt the board’s official curriculum and textbooks for Classes 1 to 10.
The board clarified that JKBOSE textbooks — available at its Srinagar and Jammu divisional offices and through authorized bookshops — are designed to ensure affordable, concept-based, and NEP 2020-aligned learning across schools.
These books incorporate contextualized NCERT content to promote competency-based education, conceptual clarity, and uniform academic standards across the Union Territory.
