New Delhi ;- For the first time, National Institute of Technology Delhi (NIT-D) was placed in the top 100 in the Education Ministry’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the engineering category in 2023. The institute, established in 2010, is one of the 31 NITs and is an autonomous institution of national importance under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, under the act of Parliament 2007.   

In the last five years of rankings including NIRF overall categories or rankings research, NIT Delhi did not make it to the list.
