IIT Mandi invites applications for short term Machine learning, IoT based automation courses, no JEE score needed

The last date to register online for the IIT Mandi short-term programmes is January 12 and classes in machine learning and IoT-based automation will start on January 15.

IIT Mandi :- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is inviting applications for short-term certificate programmes in machine learning and IoT-based automation. The short-term certificate programmes are open to engineering, BCA, MCA, ITI, polytechnic, teachers, trainers and working professionals and will be offered free of cost. The last date to register online for the IIT Mandi short-term programmes is January 12 and batches for the training programme in machine learning and IoT-based automation will start on January 15.

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the IIT Mandi has joined Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) to launch these multiple training programmes. The free-of-cost programmes aim to provide valuable skills and knowledge to participants, fostering professional development and contributing to the overall advancement of education and vocational training in the region, an IIT Mandi statement said.

IIT Mandi short-term course: Duration, objectives

The duration of the course will be one month. The focus of these programmes will be on soft skills, English speaking, interview preparation, personality development, group discussions, entrepreneurship skills, and startup support will be provided for the holistic development and career success of the candidates.

In the Machine Learning programme, students will learn mathematical foundations, python programming, statistical foundations and visualisation data, visualisation and pre-processing machines, learning and applications and others areas.

In the certificate in the internet of things (IoT) based automation training programme, candidates will be given domain sessions on Python programming, android application development, web development, computer vision, and over 10 IoT projects.

These elements will help the candidates not only learn theoretical concepts but will also let the candidates gain practical skills that are directly applicable to the industry. The combination of programming, application development, web development, and hands-on lab sessions prepares them for a diverse set of challenges they may encounter in the IoT field.
