IASE, JMI welcomes new students with Orientation Program

JMI’s Department of Education has a distinguished history of producing visionary educators and scholars. With a focus on innovation, diversity, and ethical values, the department prepares students for leadership roles in Education, ensuring a brighter future for learners worldwide.

New Delhi :- The Department of Teacher Training and Non-Formal Education (IASE), Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) kicked off its annual orientation program on August 24, 2023, welcoming incoming students across multiple disciplines. The event showcased the department's commitment to excellence, diversity, and strong ethical values.

The orientation program witnessed an inspiring opening address by Head of the Department, Prof. Naheed Zahoor. She emphasised the department's legacy of nurturing educational leaders and its dedication to fostering holistic growth in every student.

Coordinators of various programmes, including Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed. Nursery, B.Ed. Special Education, and M.Ed. Special Education extended warm welcomes to the fresh cohort. They highlighted the comprehensive and innovative curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required in the dynamic field of Education.

The event also delved into the department's rich history, celebrating its contributions to the educational landscape. Participants discussed the importance of ethical practices in Education and their role in shaping responsible professionals.

The Orientation marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the incoming students, who were inspired by the department's vision and commitment to creating positive impacts in the field of Education. The Orientation lasted over two days, with the second day being when the students dispersed to their respective classrooms for their respective course orientations.
