IASE, JMI celebrates Annual Day with a resplendent showcase of talent and achievement

The event, steeped in tradition and the visionary principles of Nai Talim since its establishment in 1938, was a testament to the department's commitment to holistic education.

New Delhi :- The Department of Teacher Training & Non-Formal Education (IASE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) successfully hosted its Annual Day Celebration on February 7th, 2024, at Dr. M. A. Ansari Auditorium of the university. The event, steeped in tradition and the visionary principles of Nai Talim since its establishment in 1938, was a testament to the department's commitment to holistic education.

The day unfolded with a series of captivating events that underscored the rich cultural tapestry and academic prowess of the department. The schedule, meticulously crafted, highlighted significant milestones in curricular and co-curricular activities. The event commenced at with the soul-soothing Tilawat-e-Quran, setting the tone for a day filled with reverence and celebration. The Jamia Tarana and a warm Welcome Speech by the Head of Department (HOD) followed suit, engaging the audience and creating an atmosphere of camaraderie.

One of the notable segments was the distribution of trophies, a poignant moment that reflected the department's commitment to recognizing excellence in both curricular and co-curricular spheres. The Registrar presented mementos to distinguished guests, while the Subject Association received well-deserved accolades.

The highlight of the awards ceremony was the presentation of Topper’s Medal by the Guest DSW, Prof. Seemi Farhat, acknowledging outstanding academic achievements. Trophies were awarded to outstanding performers in NSS, Wall Magazine, Picnic, and Poster Making competitions, emphasizing the department's dedication to nurturing diverse talents.

Mr. Sudhir Bhatnagar, the esteemed Chief Guest, Founder and CEO at SARD, presided over the ceremony, distributing trophies and offering insights in his address. The Chief Guest's Speech further added a layer of inspiration, encouraging students to strive for excellence in all their endeavors.

The Certificate Distribution, carried out by Mr. Pradeep Kumar, (Director-Program and Partnership at World reader) recognized students' achievements house-wise, adding a competitive yet collaborative spirit to the occasion. The event concluded with heartfelt Concluding Remarks by the HOD, expressing gratitude to volunteers, house advisors, and organizers who contributed to the event's success.

The Annual Day Celebration, a blend of cultural extravaganza and academic acknowledgment, left an indelible mark on the legacy of the oldest department at JMI. The event served as a beacon, guiding the institution forward in its mission to uphold the vision of Nai Talim and continue shaping well-rounded individuals.
