Haryana :- A Students-led Health Awareness Community Service Activityon the occasion of “World Heart Day” was organized on 4th October 2023School of Life-Long Learning in Collaboration with Dept. Of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Center, Central University of Haryana Mahendergarh.Vice-Chancellor of the UniversityProf. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar inaugurated the activity and emphasized the importance of the heart in our body. I also mentioned that awareness is important to avoid emergency conditions. He appreciated the initiative taken by the School of Life-Long Learning in Collaboration with Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Center, Central University of Haryana. Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Sushma Yadav praised the student’s activity and showcased of their demonstrational skill in medical instruments. She said ‘Students-led Health Awareness Community Service Activity’ is necessary to meet the skilling needs of students and fulfill the vision of NEP 2020.
The speaker of this event was Dr. Rohit Kumar Verma, who highlighted the need to learn first-aid methods to manage heart disease complications before medical health reaches the patients. Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Chairperson, Dean SIAS, and Dean Research,delivered the welcome address and briefed about theprogram. She also informedthat activities would also be conducted in the future to give scholars an opportunity to interact with the public and spread disease awareness.Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya, Dean ofthe School of Life Sciences and Convener of the event informedabout the program arranged in the banner of ‘Skill India’. He said that more than200 participants registered for health awareness activities on campus and benefited.Dr. Tarun Kumar, Dr. Manisha Pandey, and Dr. Rajat Yadav were theorganizers of the event. Additionally, Dr. Richa Yadav and Dr. Heena Yadav were supported as team members. On this occasion, Prof. Anteresh, Dr. Maruti, Dr. Neelam, Dr. Vikash, Dr. Suman, Dr. Mamta and Dr. Saurab were present.
