Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Opens PhD Winter Session Applications: Apply by November 30

PhD Entrance Test Scheduled for December 22; Fellowships Available for Full-Time Researchers

 

New Delhi. : Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU), New Delhi, is inviting applications for its PhD Winter Session. Candidates can apply online until November 30. A PhD Entrance Test (PET) will be held on December 22 for those seeking admission to various PhD programs. However, candidates who have cleared national-level exams equivalent to PET (such as UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, or CEED) are exempt from taking the test. Full-time researchers are eligible for research fellowships.

Eligibility and Admission Process

  • Admission is based on the PhD Entrance Test (PET) and an interview.
  • Candidates qualified in national-level exams such as UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, and CEED are exempt from the entrance test.
  • Admission may also be granted based on NET score as per UGC guidelines.

The university will announce the final list of available PhD slots on its website prior to the PET exam, for the 2024-25 academic session.
