Final year BDS students retaliate for exams postponement

Numerous students studying BDS in colleges tied with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS) retaliated in front of the university in the city on Wednesday demanding for the final year exams to be postponed.

Bengaluru: Numerous students studying BDS in colleges tied with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS) retaliated in front of the university in the city on Wednesday demanding for the final year exams to be postponed.

The BDS final-year exams are scheduled to be held in September.

The students main concern was, they were under immense pressure for the past two years due to the pandemic and the classes for final year started in January. And now they demand to postpone the exams so that they can go to clinical postings.

One of the main concerns was that some of the colleges haven’t completed the syllabus and not even 50% of the clinical postings were allowed to be done. Amidst all these conducting exams was an act of injustice towards the students, they protested.

However, the university authorities have asked the protesting students to get a letter signed by the principals from the respective colleges they belong stating that the syllabus has not been completed and other considerable reasons to support their request to postpone exams.
