Haryana :- An expert lecture focused on the subject of Electronic Structure Studies of Magnetic Semiconductors using X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy was organized on Thursday by the Department of Physics and Astrophysics of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh in collaboration with Physics Association ‘Aavriti’. Professor Dr.Shalendra Kumar of Physics Department, UPEC Dehradun was present as an expert speaker in this lecture. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar was present as the chief guest in the event. In his address he highlighted the importance of research. He explained why research is important and what kind of changes are being seen in the world as a result of ongoing research.
In his address, Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar mentioned the changes taking place at the level of various products through semiconductors and drew the attention of the participants towards their importance and the usefulness of the ongoing research for them. In his address, the Vice Chancellor mentioned the ongoing technological changes at the global level and explained how the impact of technological research is affecting the daily lives of the common people. The Vice Chancellor also informed the participants about the ongoing research work and its usefulness by the expert Professor Shalendra Kumar present on this occasion. The program started with the Kulgeet of the University. After this, Head of the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, Prof.Sunita Srivastava welcomed the chief guest and expert speaker. Prof.Sunita Srivastava also threw light on the topic of the lecture in her welcome address.
Expert speaker Prof.Shalendra Kumar, in his lecture, informed the participants in detail on the subject of Electronic Structure Studies of Magnetic Semiconductors using X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy. He drew attention towards the possibilities available in this direction by mentioning various aspects related to the subject and the research and results obtained related to it. At the end of the program, Dr.AnkushVij, Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astrophysics and President of Physics Association Aavriti expressed his thanks. Teachers, students and scholars from various departments were also present on this occasion.
