‘Ensure 100% pass in Class 10 exams, A1 grade for 5% students in each school’: Odisha govt shares 2024 exam advisory

The secondary school headmaster and the subject teachers will prepare a timetable for the special classes, it added.

The Odisha School and Mass Education Department has asked the schools to make sure 100 per cent of the students pass Class 10 board exams 2024 and at least five per cent of the students in each school get an A1 grade.

To achieve this feat, the state government has released an advisory as to how students can prepare for their board exams. The students have been asked to devote around 10 to 14 hours of study, six hours of sleep and drinking six to eight glasses of warm water.

The students are also asked to use sample papers, do proper revision and take mock tests.

As part of the programme – Sunischita initiatives – the department has asked the secondary schools in Odisha to start preparing for the 2024 board examination as soon as the half-yearly examinations are over.
There will also be five special classes for mathematics, science and English at the school level. The secondary school headmaster and the subject teachers will prepare a timetable for the special classes, it added.
The schools which fail to achieve 100 per cent results with a greater number of A1 achievers will have to explain to the department.
“Any slackness or negligence on the part of any stakeholder in accomplishing the target will be seriously viewed. The best three schools achieving 100 per cent results along with highest no of A1 success will be felicitated by the administration,” the letter said.
