New Delhi: According to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the bravery of Indian soldiers would be emphasized in the nation's school curricula to develop in children a "sense of responsibility" towards the country.

The stories of the military services' valiant actions and sacrifices will be included in the curriculum, according to Pradhan, who was speaking at an event on Friday.

In the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Pradhan declared, "The Education Ministry would seek to include the courage of our warriors and India's veergatha in the school curriculum and our textbooks in order to promote the sense of responsibility for the nation' from a young age.

25 winners of the "Veer Gatha" contest, which was a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, were honored during the event, which was organized by the Defence Ministry. Veer Gatha was held to educate and motivate kids about the valiant actions and sacrifices of the armed forces.

Over 8.04 lakh students participated in the competition, which took place between October 21 and November 20, and they were urged to share motivational tales about the lives of those who won bravery awards through essays, poems, drawings, and multimedia presentations.

According to Pradhan, there is no greater way to observe Amrit Mahotsav than by honoring India's Veers. He claimed that cultivating "strong patriotic fervor and a sense of appreciation towards our bravehearts" is made possible through the Veergatha Project.

Pradhan further guaranteed that the Education Ministry would quickly create a formal system for granting academic credits for certificates obtained under this effort.
