CBSE to Organise Exposure Visits for School Principals in January 2026 to Promote Skill Education

CBSE announces Exposure Visits for school principals in January 2026 to leading institutions like LPU, TISS and ATLAS SkillTech University to boost skill education under NEP 2020.

 New Delhi. : In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a series of Exposure Visits for School Principals to leading institutions of eminence across India in January 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen Skill (Vocational) Education implementation from Class VI onwards in CBSE-affiliated schools.

According to the notification, these exposure visits will provide school principals with firsthand experience of best practices, insights into emerging skill trends, and opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions and industry-linked organizations. The programme focuses on interactive and experiential learning models that can be integrated into mainstream school education.

Schedule of Exposure Visits – January 2026

  • ATLAS SkillTech University, Mumbai – 22 January 2026
  • Lovely Professional University, Punjab – 23 & 24 January 2026
  • Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati – 29 & 30 January 2026
  • Birla Institute of Technology, Deoghar – 29 & 30 January 2026
  • Footwear Design and Development Institute, Kolkata – 30 January 2026

CBSE will reimburse TA/DA up to ₹10,000 or actual expenses (whichever is less) to government and private independent school principals, subject to submission of certified original bills. Each principal is eligible for only one exposure visit per academic year, and only those who have not attended any previous CBSE exposure visit may apply.

Participation will be strictly subject to prior email confirmation. Principals must submit hard copies of TA/DA bills, supporting documents, and a one-page visit report within 10 days of completing the visit. Late or electronic submissions will not be accepted.

The notification has been issued under the signature of Dr. Biswajit Saha, Professor & Director (Skill Education), CBSE, reinforcing the Board’s continued push towards practical, skill-oriented education in schools.
