Banaras :- The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will be implementing the four year undergraduate programme, for both honors and research, namely UG Honors and UG Honors with research from the academic session 2024-25. This decision has been taken in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

As per the proposal, only 10 per cent of the total admitted students with a CGPA of 7.5 and above will be permitted to select UG honours with research based on merit. The proposed programmes focus on overall growth of students in order to shape them into responsible citizens, who are able to make best use of their university education in terms of their individual and professional growth, the institute stated.
