Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University Admissions 2022-2023 ie BHU has sought applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD courses for the academic session 2022-23. Any candidate who wants to take admission in PhD course in BHU, they have to fill the application form by visiting the official website of Banaras Hindu University, bhuonline.in .

Applications for PhD courses in BHU will go through online mode only. Apart from this, the selection of the candidate for admission in PhD course will be done according to the marks obtained in the entrance examination.

According to the advertisement issued by the university, the PhD admission process to be held in the month of September will be done in the month of July. Admission to PhD for the academic year 2022-23 will be done in July and January or after. Also, for taking admission in PhD course in BHU, the candidate will have to give Research Entrance Test (RET). Only those candidates who will pass this entrance test will get admission in this course of Banaras Hindu University.

Advertisements for admission to Research Entrance Test (RET) for the academic session 2022-23 will be issued in the first week of May and the entire process from application to admission will be done in the first week of July.

According to the guidelines issued by the UGC, PhD course work will be a 16 credit course, which will be completed in two sessions. Four courses or papers will be taken in the first semester of PhD course work.

According to the information received, the examination of the first semester of PhD course work of the candidates who have taken admission in the July session will be conducted in the month of November-December. Whereas the second semester examination will be held in May-June month of next year. On the other hand, the first semester examination for admission to be held in January session will be conducted in the month of May-June and the second semester examination will be conducted in the month of November-December.
