New Delhi. : The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially announced the schedule for the 23rd Qualifying Examination for Indian Nationals Holding Foreign Law Degrees. The exam will be held from 15th to 20th December 2025, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, at the Bar Council of India premises, 21 Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, New Delhi – 110002.
The examination consists of six physical papers, each of 3 hours and 100 marks, conducted over six consecutive days. Candidates appearing for re-examination may take only those specific papers in which they have not cleared previously.

Guidelines for Candidates
A. No Bare Acts / Books Allowed for Papers 1–3
- Constitution of India
- Contract Law & Negotiable Instruments Act
- Company Law
B. Only Bare Acts Allowed (No Notes / Guides) for Papers 4–6
- Civil Procedure Code & Limitation Act
- Criminal Procedure Code
- Indian Legal Profession and Code of Ethics
- Bare acts must not contain handwritten notes, markings, or inserts.
C. Items to Be Surrendered Before Examination
- Mobile phones
- Smart watches / gadgets with internet connectivity
- Prohibited books, notes, and materials
- These must be deposited outside the exam hall.
D. Exam Conduct Rules
Candidates must maintain decorum and follow exam discipline strictly.
Any candidate found:
- Cheating or using unfair means
- Talking inside the exam hall
- Possessing prohibited materials
may be debarred, have their answer sheet confiscated, or be issued a fresh sheet at the invigilator’s discretion.
E. Mandatory Documents
- Candidates must carry:
- Admit Card
- Original Photo ID (Passport / Aadhaar)
- Original marksheets, degree certificates, and supporting documents
Invigilators are authorized to verify documents, and any discrepancies may result in cancellation of candidature or results.

- Send original form by post to the Bar Council of India.
- Fee payment link: Will be sent to candidates after successful verification of application.
- Last date for fee payment: 05 December 2025
- Passing Marks: 45 out of 100
