
Mahendergarh : The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh successfully concluded the 27th NEP Orientation and Sensitization Programme on “Research and Development”, marking the end of a 10 days' academic initiative that brought together more than 125 participants from 15 states and 40 institutions across the country.
The valedictory session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, who, in his address, reiterated the role of research in driving innovation and nation-building. He emphasized that the National Education Policy 2020 envisions research as a cornerstone for building Viksit Bharat and encouraged participants to translate their learnings into impactful academic and social contributions.
Prof. Parmod Kumar, Director, MMTTC emphasized the value of teacher training and sensitization workshops in academic development, stating that such initiatives are crucial for enhancing teaching-learning practices and strengthening the research culture in universities.
Prof. Tanu Gupta, Deputy Director, MMTTC, stressed the role of continuous faculty development in realizing the goals of NEP 2020. She underlined that faculty empowerment through regular training is key to achieving academic excellence and global competitiveness.
Prof. Sunita Tanwar, Programme Coordinator, shared an overview of the sessions, underlining how the programme provided participants with deep insights into research methodology, ethics, interdisciplinary approaches, and innovation. Over the course of the programme, 16 distinguished speakers from reputed institutions delivered lectures on their respective areas of expertise, enriching the participants with diverse perspectives on research methodology, ethics, innovation, and interdisciplinary approaches.She appreciated the active involvement of experts and scholars, which turned the orientation into a vibrant platform of learning and collaboration.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Anurag B. Singh, Programme Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of resource persons, organizing committee, and participants. He noted that the success of the programme reflects CUH’s continued commitment to advancing research and academic excellence in alignment with the NEP’s vision.
