BHU Placements: Top Package Reaches Rs 23.5 Lakh for Management Students

165 students receiving a total of 181 job offers.


Varanasi: The Institute of Management Studies at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) reported a successful placement season, with 165 students receiving a total of 181 job offers. The highest salary package offered was Rs 23.5 lakh per annum, while the average package stood at Rs 11.1 lakh.

Dr. Ashutosh Mohan, the placement coordinator at the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS-BHU), highlighted the remarkable achievements of students from the MBA, MBA International Business, and MBA Agribusiness programs. He noted that the average package of Rs 11.1 lakh across the 181 offers set a new benchmark for future placements.

Over 65 companies participated in the recruitment process, including Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, Reliance Retail, Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Digit General Insurance, Visa Steel, Bajaj Asset Management, UNIQLO, Amul, and Escorts Kubota.

Professor HP Mathur, Dean and Head, and Chairman of Corporate Affairs and Placements at FMS-BHU, expressed gratitude for the recruiters' continued trust in the institute. He emphasized the various initiatives undertaken by the institute, such as personality development programs, corporate engagements, summer training, simulated aptitude tests, group discussions, and personalized mock interviews, which have significantly enhanced students' employability.

A significant 36% of students secured roles as executive and management trainees in diverse sub-fields such as sales and marketing, finance, business excellence, strategy and projects, alliance and electronic payments, and retail operations.

Additionally, around 21% of students were offered positions as associates and senior consultants, while 13% obtained roles as assistant and deputy managers.

IT companies like Cognizant, Infosys, Genpact, Veear Analytics, Hexaware Technologies, Acxiom Consulting, MRCC Group, and Loyalty Juggernaut offered numerous positions in consulting and analytics. Firms in the BFSI sector, including South Indian Bank, Bandhan Bank, Jana Bank, SBI Life, ICICI Pru AMC, and UTI Mutual Funds, provided lucrative opportunities in marketing, finance, operations, and HR.

In the agribusiness sector, DCM Shriram Farm Solutions recruited several MBA (Agribusiness) students, with a number of students also receiving pre-placement offers.

Overall, the placement season at FMS-BHU showcased the strong demand for its management graduates and underscored the institute's commitment to preparing students for successful careers.
