Students of CUH got position in Top Ten in Indian Statistical Service Examination

New Delhi. : Two students from the Department of Statistics, Central University of Haryana (CUH) Mahendergarh have successfully qualified the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2021 conducted by UPSC for which written exam was held on 16-18, July 2021 while the interview for the shortlisted candidates was conducted on 29–30, November 2021. While congratulating the students and their teachers for this achievement of the students, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar said that their success would inspire other students as well and that they would continue this sequence in future also.

Dr. Devender Kumar, Teacher Incharge, Department of Statistics said that Maneesh Kumar currently pursuing Ph.D. under  his supervision has secured AIR 3. Sunil Machara, former student from the Department of Statistics, M.Sc. batch 2019, has secured AIR 6. Their achievements will inspire the upcoming students to aim for higher achievements in life. We give our heartiest congratulations to both of them and wish them success in all their future endeavours. The Indian Statistical Service (ISS) is a civil service under Group A of the central civil services of the executive branch of the government of India. ISS is a civil service with a high degree of proficiency in Statistical methods and applications.
