New Delhi : Dr. Ufana Riaz, Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) has been awarded “ESDA Senior Scientist Award 2021” for her significant contribution to the field of Materials Chemistry and Environment. The Award Ceremony was held on 3rd October, 2021 at India International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi during the ‘World Environment Summit 2021’.
The Summit was organised by Environment & Social Development Association (ESDA), Delhi in collaboration with Australian Technical University, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, IGNOU New Delhi, GD Goenka University Gurugram, Amity University Haryana, Jaipur National University, Sharda University Greater Noida, NESA, STE, MSMECCII & other eminent organizations.
The award was presented by distinguished dignitaries: Dr. Anil Praksh Joshi, a renowned Environmentalist & Himalaya Putra Padma Shri & Padma Bhushan Awardee and Founder, HESCO, Dehradun, Prof. Raj Kumar, Director, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Prof. P. B. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Haryana, Gurugram, Prof. Javed Ahmad, President, National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi.
Recently, Dr. Ufana Riaz has also been appointed as Scientific Advisor to Neosinus Health Inc, USA, which is a drug development company that has commercialized a fully integrated platform for optimizing drug delivery and health outcomes to essential drug pathways and overcome physiological barriers that currently impede high potential drugs.
