JMI and NCW jointly organises Capacity Building & Personality Development Programme for female students

 

New Delhi. : The UGC-HRDC, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) and National Commission for Women(NCW) jointly organised an Online Capacity Building & Personality Development Programme (PDP) for Undergraduate and Postgraduate female students of the university today. Prof. Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, JMI inaugurated the function as the Chief Guest.

The Vice Chancellor began her inaugural address by thanking the NCW for collaborating with JMI and sponsoring the course for empowering female students. She further emphasized how important and useful the program will be for preparing girl students who want to do well in their professional life. 

Prof. Anisur Rahman, Director, HRDC, JMI welcomed the Chief Guest, Prof. Aejaz Masih, Dean, Faculty of Education, JMI,  three Resource Persons and participants. He highlighted the brief course structure of the program.

Prof. Masih in his chair remarks appreciated the efforts made by Prof. Najma Akhtar for empowering women in the university. He further underlined the significance of the course for girl students.

Resource Persons Prof. Archana Dassi, Head, Department of Social Work, JMI, Prof. Rahela Farooqui, Centre for Management Studies, JMI, Prof. Shane Kazim Naqvi, Director, C/o Information Technology (CIT), and faculty members of other departments of the university were present during the program which ended with a vote of thanks.
