Crores of problems in India, but billions of solutions too: Kailash Satyarthi

67th National Convention of ABVP begins in Jabalpur

 

New Delhi. : The 67th National Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad started today in Jabalpur. Nobel Peace Prize recipient Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award 2021 winner Karthikeyan Ganesan, ABVP National President Prof. Chagganbhai Patel, National General Secretary Ms. Nidhi Tripathi, Zonal Organization secretary Nirav Ghelani, convention reception committee president Jitendra Kumar Jamdar, Reception committee secretary Sandeep Jain, Mahakaushal ABVP state president Sandeep Khare, and state secretary Suman Yadav were present in the inauguration of the national conference and distribution of the Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award.

700+ delegates from all over the country were present physically in the session and thousands of delegates joined the inauguration through virtual mode at 2704 places across the country. All the representatives from Kashmir to Kanyakumari are participating in the 3-day long conference. In this session, resolutions on education, current scenario, sports etc. will be passed. ABVP's national executive committee for the next session will also be announced in the national conference. 

A meeting of the National Executive Council was also held today morning, in which the decision of the Central Government to celebrate Tribal Pride Day was welcomed.

On this occasion, ABVP's National General Secretary, Ms. Nidhi Tripathi said that "ABVP innovated in its work even after the adverse circumstances of Covid. Today from school students to Indians studying abroad, all type of students are working in ABVP. We will work to give platform to the youth who have ideas.”

Yashwant Rao Kelkar Yuva Award winner Shri Karthikeyan Ganesan said "I am overwhelmed and have no words. There are no facilities where I come from, but ABVP found me. I stayed in an orphanage for 15 years and now I am the director of the same orphanage.  My aim is to work for specially-abled and this award will motivate me to do my work better. Whenever you make some effort, nature helps us. We have made Srishti Gaons eco-friendly, inclusive where we have made them self-sufficient through solar power, biogas and farming. I understand that till you prove yourself no one appreciates your work.”

The chief guest of the program, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi said "India will never grow old because it is eternal. The nation is built not by the dreams of the youth but by their intentions. Realizing the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, our boundaries are infinite and the whole world resides like a nest. Today, capital is being created through data, through artificial intelligence the thinking, behavior of three billion people is being influenced and money is being made through algorithms. There are crores of problems in India, but billions of solutions too and I call upon the ABVP to use their strength to solve the problems.”
