Calcutta University opens a position of a Research Association in SERB

Kolkata: the University of Calcutta, Department of physiology invites applications for the position of a postdoctoral Research Associate in the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) Government of India funded project. It is titled “Exploring the Mechanism of Arsenic-Induced Neuro-inflammation and its Effect on Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis: Possible Protection by Folic Acid Supplementation”. The duration of the Associateship is 3 years.

A candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Physiology or any branch of Life Science with at least two publications in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals. The candidate should have hands-on experience in cell and tissue culture techniques, animal handling, routine biochemical, immunological, and molecular biology assays.

The selected candidate can start working any time, subject to the restrictions imposed by the Government due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
