Xavier Law School announces admission to its B.A.-L.L.B (Honors), a five year degree program and B.COM-L.L.B. (Honors), a five year degree program. The last date of submission of the online application form and application fee is 16.04.2021. The application fee is rupees one thousand, only, is nonrefundable. Xavier Law Admission Test (XLAT) will be held on 25.04.2021. For B.A. - L.L.B (Honors) the test will be held from 10 A.M to 12 P.M. For B.COM- L.L.B (Honors), the timings are from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. Computer Based Test (CBT), will be the mode of the test.
Centers for XLAT, 2021 are: Kolkata, Delhi, Durgapur, Patna, Siliguri, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Guwahati and Ranchi. The admit card will be released on 22.04.2021.
The total marks of the test will be 100. The time given is 2 hours. The questions will be in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ).
Other important criterion:
Age of the candidate should be 20 years or less as on 1st July, 2021.
No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
Provisional Admission will be given on the basis of the marks of the Admission Test. However, for the confirmation of final admission the student must pass Plus Two examination conducted by a recognised Board/Council in India and obtain minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and also minimum 45% marks in each of the four subjects (as mentioned in the eligibility criteria) included in the aggregate calculation, failing which the admission of the student will be cancelled.
The final Plus Two result must be submitted to the University before the commencement of the classes, till then the admission will remain provisional.
A student must have studied and passed in English in the +2 level. The foreign students for whom there is a separate set of rules.
Aggregate is calculated with four subjects at +2 level including the compulsory subjects as indicated in the eligibility criteria for application and the subjects having the maximum marks from the rest of the subjects.
Eligibility criterion for B.A.-L.L.B (Honors):
English should be a compulsory subject in plus two level. The aggregate will be calculated in English plus any three subjects. Minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and minimum 45% marks in each of the four subjects included in the aggregate calculation.
Eligibility criterion for B.COM-L.L.B (Honors):
The compulsory subjects in plus two level are English plus Mathematics/ Accountancy/ Business Mathematics/ statistics. The aggregate will be calculated in English plus (Mathematics/ Accountancy/ Business Mathematics/ statistics) plus any two subjects. Minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and minimum 45% marks in each of the four subjects included in the aggregate calculation.
