Over 100 Principals awarded Excellence Awards
- Leading role of schools in implementation new education policy: Athawle
Union Minister of State Social Justice & Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that the schools have a key role implementation of NEP. He called upon the principals of public schools who will have a pivotal role in shaping a strong & self-sufficient India and building the future of Young Generation.
He addressed to Education Conclave organized by ‘Udaan’ the Center of Theatre Art and Child Development and Edu Advise on NEP held on Saturday. In the education conclave Director of NCERT, Shridhar Srivastava, Secretary Major Harshkumar, Educationist Ashok Pandey and Madam Snehil Pinto were special guests.
During the conclave NCERT president Sridhar Srivastava and Secretary Major Harsh Kumar resolved the concerns of principals over the education policy and gave answers to their questions. On this occasion, Shri Shree Ram Arawakar, All India General Secretary, Madam Grace Pinto, Chairman of Ryan Group of Institutions and Educationist and SL Jain were awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for their outstanding contribution in the field of education, while the principals of 100 public schools from across the country were awarded the Excellence Awards. Shradha Chettri from Times of India, Katyani Upreti from Navbharat Times, Ritika Mishra from Dainik Jagran and Arvind Pandey from Daink Jargran awarded as Education Reporter of The Year during the even.
Addressing the conclave, the Minister lauded the relentless efforts made by the Udaanin the development of young children. He said that the contribution of Mr. Sanjay Tuteja the director in the past 27 years is certainly commendable.
He said that the enthusiasm they all were displaying in the issue were indeed admirable. They had a huge responsibility in the implementation of this education policy. Without their cooperation, the implementation of the new education policy is not possible. Through this policy, they can create a new India by giving a new direction to the new generation. It is their responsibility to build a new India. The new education policy will help them in this task. It will not only create a new India but also make India a self-reliant country.
