Smt. Seema Bajaj,  Remal Public Sr. Sec. School, Rohini, New Delhi has an experience of 24 years in the Education Industry shares her excellent views with us regarding online classes, the challenges or problems faced by the school, opening of schools, and their teaching strategy. She talks about how things will be managed now after reopening of schools. An Interview taken by Indu Rawat, Reporter, EduAdvice. 

Here are the highlights of the conversation with Smt. Seema Bajaj. 


 What type of teaching strategy does your school follows?

- Our school is child centric and we strive to work on holistic development of our students by emphasizing on experiential learning, physical fitness, Art integration and ICT.


 How do you motivate and encourage your staff?

- We believe in let's do and when HOS or Authorities work with staff to accomplish a task, the staff become motivated and management is also empathetic.


 What types of curricular activities have you undertaken in your school?

- During Pandemic our students have participated in various competitions on online mode and brought many laurels to school.Even cultural program, virtual visits to Sikkim,our twin state and Delhi was organised.Our two teachers have retired and the virtual farewell was organised.


 What kind of challenges have you faced during corona pandemic?

 There is a huge number of fee defaulters, during the pandemic.


 As not every student can have access to smartphone or laptop, so how you handle such situation? 

 We uploaded the work sheets on our website, so that students who don't have access to smartphones or laptops also be able to cover their syllabus.


 Now, as the schools are reopening, are parents agree to send their children to school or not?

 Yes, parents are agreeing now to send the students at school.


 How will the school follow up with students who cannot attend classes?

 We are in contact with the parents through SMS, WhatsApp messages, phone calls .


 What kind of safety precautions you are following? What precautions will there be during physical activities to make it more safe?

 SOP has been made according to Government norms. Classes are coming in staggered way. Class XII (9-12),Class X(12-3). Entry and exit gates are separate, rooms used for classes 10 and 12 are separate, students are called in batches of 12-15 in a group, regular sanitisation of building after every batch, thermal scanning of everyone and sanitization of everyone from head to toe.


 What kind of difference you get to see after the reopening of schools?

 We get to see the happy teachers and happy faces after reopening of schools.


 Do you think that new education policy will be helpful in transforming the education system in india, and if yes, then how?

(a) I strongly believe that new education policy will be helpful in transforming the education system in india as foundation time is of 3 years so foundation of children will be strong.

(b) Vocational courses will make self independent  under the aegis of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat.

(c) No boundaries for scholastic and co-scholastic.
