Punjabi University Wll Be Working of Research Project of DBT

Patiala: Punjabi University will be working on a research project under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology.

The project is part of government-funded URJIT (University Research Joint Industry Translation) Cluster Scheme and is worth Rs. 232 Crore. There are 8 other institutions working together on this project. This URJIT Cluster Scheme’s aim is to synergize resources between research labs and industry.

 Other 8 institutions working include National Agri-Food Biotech Institute, Mohali, Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, Institute of Nano-science Technology, Mohali, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Mohali, Centre of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing, Mohali, Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
