Haryana Educational Institutions to remain closed till 31st May,2021

HARYANA: Haryana Government has announced closure of all Educational Institutions such as Schools, Colleges, Coaching Institutions till the end of May, due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state. Earlier, the the order of the closure for the same  was till April 30,2021.

According to official notification released by the government all the Coaching Institutions including Training Institutions, Libraries, wheather government or private will remain closed till May end. Apart from these, the order also includes anganwadi centres, creches under the Women and Child Development ministry. The decision has been taken with an aim to stem the flow of spread. The government had already announced summer vacations in the state for schools to limit movement of even teachers to school for administrative work.

Haryana ha also imposed 7-days strict lockdown in the state starting from today i.e May 3rd, 2021 in the wake of rising Covid cases in the state.Vaccination centres, banks and essential services will remain functional during the weeklong lockdown. The official order regarding the lockdown said that considering the current surge in the cases the government has taken this decision to impose seven days long lockdown in the state."The lockdown will remain in force from May 3 (5 am onwards) till May 10 (5 am) along with directions to all the departments of the state government and district administration for strict implementation of the guidelines during the period of lockdown in the letter and in spirit," the guideline said.

"From May 3, there will be a 7-day long lockdown in the entire state," Haryana's Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said in a tweet.

The state on Sunday recorded its biggest single-day jump with 145 deaths and 13,322 cases taking the total cases count to 5,14,888, 3,947,09 recoveries and 4,486 deaths.
