Chitkara University, Punjab is going to collaborate with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune, the apex government automotive research and testing organization.

As a byproduct of this collaboration, Chitkara University will offer candidates an M.Tech program in Automotive Engineering.

The University is going to be the only institution in the region to offer this course. The past decade has witnessed an increasing demand and change in customer preference for automotive vehicles.

University reports state that India is expected to become an emerging global leader in shared mobility as well as electric vehicles by 2030, which can be credited to a rising middle class, increased FDI ($23.3 billion in 2019-2020 )and revised government policies and regulations.

This move is going to encourage automotive manufacturers to emphasize new vehicle development, development of testing capabilities, and redesigning supply chains.

These are a few reasons why the university is introducing this custom-designed 2-year M.Tech course by collaborating with Pune. The Pune campus is among the most advanced and state of the art labs in the country.
