Haryana: A one-day national webinar on "Statistical Data Analysis" was organised by the Research and Development Cell at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, in collaboration with the Department of Biochemistry. Professor Tankeswar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University, graced the webinar as a chief-patron. He addressed the participants and emphasised the importance of various statistical tools in diverse fields. He said in his inspiring address that any study irrespective of any research domain has no meaning until it is validated by statistical tools. He lauded Department of Biochemistry for taking innovative initiatives to promote research towards excellence. Dr. Muralidhara, Academic Ambassador, JMP, Global Team, was the keynote speaker of this national webinar.
Dr. Muralidhara elaborated on the importance of statistical tools and software. In his keynote address he emphasized the significance of statistics in analysing the data from life sciences, physical sciences, banking and industries as well. He also emphasised the role of data analysis during the COVID-19 pandemic using statistical software. Professor Neelam Sangwan, Director, Research & Development Cell and Dean, School of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences, introduced the Research and Development Cell. She also informed the participants about statistical software. Professor Pawan Kumar Maurya, Head Department of Biochemistry, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Saurabh Chandra Saxena and Dr. Neelam of Department of Biochemistry has organised this national webinar. Dr. Saxena introduced the esteemed speaker. A vote of thanks to all guests, speakers and participants was given by Dr Neelam. Dean Academic Affair Professor Dinesh Kumar, Directors, Deans, Heads and students from various departments participated in this national webinar. Participants gained knowledge of various statistical tools those can be applied to respective research area.
