Kolkata : The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) has issued the counselling notification for WBJEE-2024. Eligible candidates who have secured a rank in JEE Main or WBJEE can apply for e-counselling at the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.
The WBJEE counselling process includes several stages: registration, choice filling for college and course, choice locking, seat allotment, document verification, and more. Seats will be allotted based on the seat matrix and the list of participating colleges available on the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.
The results for WBJEE 2024 were declared on June 6 at 3 PM, with a total of 1,12,963 students qualifying for the exam.
Key Points of WBJEE 2024 Counselling:
Registration: Candidates must register during the initial registration stage before round 1 or during the mop-up round if missed initially. A non-refundable fee of Rs 500 is required for registration.
Required Information: Candidates need to provide personal and academic details, including passing status, overall full marks, and total marks obtained in Class 12, as well as marks for English in Class 10.
Class 12 Marks: Marks for subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, computer application, electronics/information technology, informatics practices, technical vocational subjects, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies, entrepreneurship, English, and others are required.
Choice Filling and Seat Allotment:
- Candidates should carefully select their preferences during the choice filling stage and lock at least 20 preferences.
- After choice locking, the first round allocation results will be announced as per the issued schedule.
- Candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 5000 to lock their choice or to be considered for upgradation.
- Failure to pay the seat acceptance fee will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate will not be considered for further upgrades.
