New Delhi, : Shri Vineet Joshi has officially taken charge as the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. The assumption of office took place today at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, where Shri Joshi engaged in discussions with senior officials of the Ministry to outline the department's priorities and future direction.
With a distinguished career in public administration and the education sector, Shri Joshi brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chief Secretary of Manipur. His extensive contributions to education include his tenure as the Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
Shri Joshi's academic credentials are equally impressive. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).
Known for his visionary leadership and commitment to improving the education landscape in India, Shri Joshi is expected to play a pivotal role in driving reforms and enhancing the quality of higher education across the country
