Mahendragarh, Haryana: 'Vibhajan ki Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' was organized at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh on Wednesday. Dr. Markandey Ahuja, Former Vice Chancellor, Baba Mastnath University was present as the chief guest in this program organized by the Department of History and Archaeology. Prof. Markandey Ahuja said that today is the day to remember those who died anonymity during the partition. Today is the time to remember this horror and take a pledge to protect ourselves from any such danger in the future. In the event, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University and Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro-Vice Chancellor was present.
Dr. Narendra Parmar, HoD, Department of History presents the outline of the program. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that this is the pain that he and his family have experienced themselves. He said that partition of India was unfair and could have been avoided. The hasty partition took the lives of millions of people and gave such pain to hundreds of families that cannot be forgotten for generations. The Vice Chancellor also inspired the students to do research focused on partition through this event so that such pain can be avoided in future. Prof. Sushma Yadav said that we have not been able to forget the sacrifice of those anonymous people. She said that partition is such a dark chapter of history, which cannot be forgotten. The purpose behind celebrating this day today is to truly know and understand the reasons for this partition and not let those mistakes be repeated in future. At the end of the program, Dr. Divya presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Neeraj Karan Singh conducted the event. On this occasion, Dean of Student Welfare of the University Prof. Anand Sharma, Dean Research Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma were present along with a large number of teachers, students and researchers.
